Last Saturday, I went to this Restoran Intai Intai which is hidden by a row of shop houses along the MRR2 highway from Bukit Antarabangsa to Ampang Point, just after the flyover that connects MMR2 to the DUKE highway. The restaurant occupies a huge area surrounded by hilly forest. There is a big lake at the centre of the restaurant. Surrounding the lake are connected Malay style wooden houses that serve as a dinning area overlooking the lake from different angles.
We were there at about 6:45pm and found ourselves to be the only customer. We were wondering what went wrong with a huge restaurant like this with only one customer at 6:45pm, but only to find that customers started to come in one by one only after 7:30pm. Apparently, people in KL eats later than 7pm I guess.

After exiting MRR2 and climbing a slopy hill with a row of shop houses, at the back of the corner is the entrance to the restaurant.
The restaurant has a huge lake surrounded by hilly forest.
Interconnected Malay style wooden houses that surround the lake serve as a huge dining area for the restaurant.
The decor is a mix of Malay and modern Thai I guess.
We ordered our food and the food were served quite promptly. Judging from the kind of food that we ordered which required length preparation, I really wondered how could there came up with all the dishes in such a short span of time.
The fried rice tasted excellent.
The chicken wrapped in pandan leaves was a bit too dry I think.
The prawn was at its best average.
This Thai fried cat fish and mango was good.
This drink which is called cinseh is the best surprise of the evening. It is actually a glass of ginger tea (teh halia) with cincau and selasih inside. Served cold, it tasted excellent. I ordered 2 glasses.
Overall, the bill came up to RM80. A bit steep. I guess there are plenty of rooms for improvements for this restaurant to realize its full potential.
