I started driving home for Chinese New Year at 10pm on Friday. The main reason why I started my journey so late is because my cousin sister need to attend class in SIM until 10pm on Friday. The good thing is I have 2 cousin sisters and 1 cousin brother who could be my drivers. All I have to do is actually sleep my way home.
The North South Highway was busy from Singapore to Melaka. The traffic became smoother from Melaka to KL. From KL to Ipoh, the traffic was bumper to bumper all the way. Finally, we reached Ipoh at 6:30am.
The first we did was to go to Foh San Dim Sum Restaurant. However, my experience in Foh San can only be described as disappointing. The place is crowded and you have to look for a place for yourself. You have to wait behind a table like everybody was doing to get a table when people leave. This is very much like Hong Kong. Can't they let the customers wait in queue and usher them in when there is a free table? Finally, the dim sum itself is only average, nothing special anyway. I had so much expectation in the beginning! Luckily, my aunt foot the bill.
