A blog for me to write about what I put into my bottomless pit and what I do in my spare time.

Alexis
Where do you go to get a decent bowl of Vietnamese beef noodle in KL. Alexis is the answer.
There are 2 branches of Alexis in KL, one in Great Eastern Mall, Jalan Ampang and the other in Bangsar.
Alexis in Great Eastern Mall, Jalan Ampang is a restaurant cum Jazz bar. They invite well known Jazz singer from the world to perform here in the evening. During day time, this place is just a restaurant. The place is cozy during day time. It could be crowded in the evening.
There is a wide collection of wine in their cellar.
Alexis is a good place to spend a lazy Sunday morning. Bring along your laptop if you have plenty of time. The place is cozy and not crowded.
As I said, this is the place in KL to get yourself a bowl of Vietnamese beef noodle. It is not fantastic, but can do. The soup is good, but the beef slices were not thin enough.
You can try their pan cake too. Nicely decorated with strawberries and sweetened banana.
The other Alexis is located in Bangsar.
The shop here is much smaller. I think Alexis in Bangsar opens only in the evening.
There is a wide collection of wine in the cellar here too.
The Vietnamese beef kway teow tastes the same here too.
Alexis is famous for its high quality cakes.
You should really try the tiramisu here. Top with berries and sweet egg white crust. There are layers of chocolate and liqour in the middle. The cake will melt in you mouth and the taste is too sophisticated to describe. This is what I call sophisticated cake.
Yummy!
